Norfolk’s Burgeoning Restaurant Scene: Complete with restaurant rows, chef-owned venues and culinary masterpieces, Norfolk’s surprisingly hip downtown is home to an increasing number of unique restaurants that are bursting with individuality, freshness and flavor. Downtown Norfolk Restaurant Week: Restaurant Week draws upon similar concepts developed in other metropolitan markets throughout the country. Occurring twice a year, participating restaurants build fixed 3-course menus Prices for Restaurant Week are $20 or $30 depending upon the restaurant. Girlfriend Getaways: Get away with the girls! Norfolk offers the hottest trends and the coolest places. Visitors can enjoy fun on the town with festivals, cultural arts, shopping, antiquing and more. Festivals Abound: Join in the festivities offered at more than 65 festivals throughout the city from outdoor events like the tall ship celebration at Harborfest (June), Jazz Festival (July) and The In-Water Boat Show (September) at riverfront Town Point Park to the springtime Virginia Arts Festival (April-May).
